Bren Draper Design specializes in creating spaces that reflect each clients sense of style...a home that makes you smile each and every time you walk in the door. Now based in Rockville, Bren has been creating stylish homes in Howard , Baltimore and Montgomery Counties for over twelve years, designing many different interiors from warm modern to  Asian fusion to cool country.

Coming to interior design from a diverse background in the study of creativity, teaching, and art, Bren has a vast skill set that has contributed to several milestones and accomplishments along the way...everything from designing 4500 square foot homes from the ground up, to a dorm room that became the showcase for a college, to a porch that won a decorating contest in Colorado, in one weekend, on a $200 budget. She was an early adopter in the use of online resources for design and is the former editor of Designviews, one of the first online interior design magazines, heralded as the “design bible” by USA Today. A contributing author to Starting out with Style, she  has also been a featured designer in the Washington Post’s "House Calls".

Bren has always been immersed in all things design. Growing up in Columbus, Indiana—one of the most notable towns in the world for both modern and historic architecture—almost every public and private building was beautifully designed by world famous architects, including Eero Saarinen and IM Pei. An NPR story stated that even the jail looks good! She has lived all over the US (and in Iceland) where she developed a love for art museums, thrift shops and diverse cultures.

Her best creations continue to be her son Reid, 31 and her daughter, Sarah, 30. She now calls Rockville home, but she still lives by her hometown motto of “unexpected and unforgettable”.

One day she plans to be as famous as Dorothy Draper, or as infamous as Don Draper.
